I am a software developer from Germany, and I spend most of my days doing two things: building things that work, and fixing things that don't.
My main territory is full-stack web development (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python), process automation, web scraping, and API integrations. I have a soft spot for rescue jobs: the half-finished project a previous developer abandoned, the script that fails every Tuesday for no apparent reason, the codebase nobody dares to touch. Finding the actual cause instead of patching symptoms is the part of this job I genuinely enjoy.
A few things I believe about good software: it should be tested, because "it works on my machine" is not a delivery. It should be documented, because you should never be locked in to the person who built it. And it should be as simple as possible, because every clever line of code is a line someone has to understand later.
When I am not building for clients, I am building for myself, experimenting with new frameworks and automation ideas. That means the tools I work with are current, not the state of the art from five years ago.

Work Terms
Availability: weekdays and most evenings (CET, Germany). Urgent fixes are often possible on short notice, including weekends.
Communication: through Guru messages, in English or German. I usually reply within a few hours, always within one business day. For larger projects I am happy to clarify the scope in detail before any work starts.
Payment: I work through Guru SafePay only. For most projects I prefer fixed-price agreements with clear milestones, so you know the total cost before we start. Hourly agreements work for ongoing or open-ended tasks. Work begins once the agreement is set up and SafePay is funded; this protects both sides.
Process: you describe what you need, I come back with questions if anything is unclear, then you get a quote with scope, timeline, and price. Delivery includes source code, documentation, and reasonable revisions within the agreed scope. I would rather under-promise and over-deliver than the other way around.
