A midwife for books

I am a versatile editor and proofreader who specializes in editing books, academic research, and website copy.

I worked for U.S. publisher Scholastic for three years, editing young adult fiction and U.S. school market texts. I edited research work in the social sciences, including a book in the World Today series. My writing portfolio includes newspaper and magazine articles, newsletters, publicity materials, blogs, and other web content.

I use U.S. English, but I am familiar with UK language conventions and have, in fact, adapted English-language content from around the Anglophone world for U.S. audiences. I am a proficient user of the Associated Press Stylebook, the American Psychological Association Publication Manual, the Chicago Manual of Style, and Modern Language Association style.
