Work Terms
Work Terms – Legal Freelancing
1. Services:
The Freelancer shall provide legal support services including but not limited to legal drafting, contract review, research, compliance advisory, and consultation, as agreed upon with the Client from time to time.
2. Hourly Rate:
The services will be billed at USD $60 per hour. Billing will be rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
3. Availability:
The Freelancer will primarily be available during weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Any weekday availability, if required, shall be mutually agreed in advance.
4. Communication:
All communications and work updates will be provided via email, phone calls, or video conferencing as required by the Client. Response to queries will generally be within 12 hours on weekends.
5. Payment Terms:
Invoices will be issued on a weekly basis (or at the completion of agreed tasks) and are payable within 7 days of receipt.
Payments shall be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or any other mutually agreed mode.
Delayed payments beyond 7 days may incur interest at 1.5% per month.
6. Confidentiality:
The Freelancer shall maintain strict confidentiality of all information, data, and documents shared by the Client. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) can be executed if required.
7. Revisions and Feedback:
The Client is entitled to one round of revisions on deliverables without additional charge, provided the scope remains unchanged.
8. Termination:
Either party may terminate the engagement by giving 7 days' written notice. The Client shall pay for all hours worked and expenses incurred up to the termination date.
9. Independent Contractor:
The Freelancer is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Client. No employer-employee relationship or benefits shall arise from this engagement.
10. Governing Law:
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State].
