I have 12+ years experience copywriting, proofreading, copy editing for marketing agencies in both print and online and am as familiar with AP style as the MLA guidelines and the Chicago Manual of Style. I am also able to work in ProofHQ, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word. I work well with others, am willing to learn, and have worked with everything from academic books and journals to Direct Mail, email blasts, press releases, radio and TV scripts, proposals for new business, and so on. I've also worked in the academic arena copy editing books on short story literary theory ("A Reader's Companion to the Short Story," "Postmodern Approaches to the Short Story"). My blog Pilottownstories.wordpress.com and its Facebook page are also projects I'm involved with that celebrate the history and culture of Southeastern Louisiana. My personal interests span from the history of New Orleans, Louisiana, progressive and world music, world religions, martial arts, and healthy cooking.
