About

I promise to give you the best automotive information available on any Internet service. I know this is a rather large promise, however, 40 years of experience says it all.

A longtime writer, I began my career as an automotive writer following a two-year stint as a police/crime reporter for a major Boston daily newspaper. In 1970, I was given the automotive editor's post by the paper's news editor. I then began to write a weekly column for which I was responsible for more than 30 years. I have honestly driven more the 4,500 vehicles and have evaluated them all. If you doubt this, do the math. I normally had three vehicles per week in my driveway and after driving them I had to write the evaluations, so it works out to 4,500 vehicles at a minimum.

My writing not only consisted of evaluations but also of information about the automotive industry, automotive issues in general, as well as car safety and car care.

Not only am I an automotive writer, though, I am also a book reviewer with more than 100 online reviews published this year. My work appears reguarly on Amazon.com, Goodreads.com and Barnes and Noble.com.

I have also done a great deal of SEO work that includes formatting keywords properly and inserting them in the text, and creating the properly formatted and linked keywords. And, I have done a great deal of content writing.

Work Terms

I have a pretty relaxed work schedule as I retired from my former fulltime occupation -- car salesperson -- nearly six years ago. I generally work from about 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST (GMT-5). I am easy to contact. I use AIM, Yahoo IM, Google IM and MSN IM. In addition, I can be reached via Skype or email. My regular hourly is $32 and my minimum fee is one week's pay. I realize that this sound like a large figure, however, as you are hiring a writer whose work has appeared in such places as Automotive News, AutoWeek, Popular Mechanics and Mechanix Illustrated and who also has been writing successfully for many years, I believe you will get your money's worth. I also prefer long-term hires.
