I am Maria Isabel Aurelia Aquino or Maria Isabel Aquino for short. I have been working for various organizations and institutions for more than 40 years doing research, proofreading, editing, translation from English to Tagalog, encoding including other elements of publication work from writing articles, lay outing, proofreading to printing. I also know how to administer websites and facebook accounts.
I am hardworking and stick to deadlines. I can write and speak well in English, Tagalog and Cebuano. I am looking for proofreading jobs to supplement my consultancy work. I am also open to transcription, translation, and website management.
From 2010 to 2014 I worked with MIGRANTE –Europe Foundation based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a consultant, admin secretary, and publication officer. Aside from Netherlands, I have been to Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Spain. Have traveled to Hongkong, Malaysia, and Singapore personal as well as network building for Filipino migrants.
From 2004 to 2009 I worked for Mindanao Inpeace Forum as consultant and publications officer. We came out with the weekly magazine on the situation and issues in Mindanao and in the Philippines.
Before this I worked for Amado V. Hernandez Cultural center, an institution in the Philippines, publishing books, novels and other works of Amado V. Hernandez and other national known artists and writers in the Philippines.
Since 2015 I have decided to work freelance while being a consultant to Linangan ng Kulturang Pilipino, a cultural research center on Philippine arts, culture, and history. I finished Bachelor of Science in Chemistry but a year after graduation, I decided to devote my life as a development and human rights worker to help the poor and more disadvantaged sectors in our country. I love to read books, novels, magazines, newspapers. I love to watch movies and analyze them too. I love listening to classical and folk music.

I can work for 20-30 hours a week or work full time if necessary.
