Doing customer support for Vodacom taught me patience and the correct way to respond to clients and handle heated situations calmly. Developing across multiple industries using multiple languages, from custom wordpress template design and implementation to joomla and modules, sitefinity and OSCommerce. Developing ERP solutions for manufacturing companies including a nation wide glass and aluminium supplier to building webservices to feed mobile apps with all the data it needs, including a security layer for that extra assurance for brands as big as Jose Cuervo Tequila.
I have sat with board of directors and marketers for years managing IT for a respected hospitality brand in South Africa, running their e-marketing and social media efforts as well as developing websites and software to enhance our performance and ability to track statistics and customer patterns and loyalty online. I have met with and built software for Government officials to manage labor of hundreds of thousands of individuals, I have built biometrics entry systems, digital maps for one of the southern hemisphere's largest malls and query management system for a local government to better assist the public and track issues reported.
I truly have been fortunate enough to work in many industries and met with some very important people in these industries, the quality of my work was never questioned and I always delivered rock solid software as expected.
Work Terms
I work freelance so often develop into the evenings, I communicate via email, skype or phone calls as often not many clients are based in the same town as me. For large projects that I quote on 50% payment upfront is required to secure my time and final 50% on completion. For small adhoc coding and support I bill per hour upon completion of work. Retainers are available for clients who wish to have me as a more permanent part of their team.
