I’m an experienced and client-minded responsive website and mobile app developer with a focus on small and medium businesses - including bars, restaurants and fitness clients - and on news and community organizations. I'm happy to consider projects outside of those categories as well, as many of the needs of that clientele are transferable in many other scenarios.

I have extensive knowledge of Wordpress and the apps and plugins that extend its capabilities, including BuddyPress, WooCommerce, extensions to email management software like MailChimip, and to social plugins including Sumo and others that let people connect with you how they like and share your content easily.

Mobile apps can be highly customized to include everything from scheduled push notifications to in-app chat, calendars, menus, and mobile loyalty programs. I also manage the approval process with both the iTunes and Google Play app stores.

I project plans with hourly forecasts ahead of time so that all-in pricing and time to completion are understood at the beginning. All projects also include an hour-long screencast training with me on how to update all the aspects of your site or app that you’ll use regularly, including photos and galleries, website copy, blog posts, events and push notifications. At the end of your training, you'll also receive a digital mini-booklet for reference (I'm happy to furnish an example for your reference).

Work Terms

- I set project expectations around hourly work required and timing so that costs and expected delivery dates are known upfront.

- When your site and/or app is delivered, I provide an hourlong training on how to maintain and update your site, plus a custom "owner's manual" so that you can always access the information.

- You own your site. The same way you wouldn't let a homebuilder or renovation team deny you access to your house, we make sure clients have their website and host passwords and other pertinent information from the very beginning. Transparency is our philosophy: we explain what's happening at every stage, and you can always drop in and check on progress -- it's your "house," after all.
