Dance Party Pumper Upper
Are you having a party and want to make sure your guests get on the dance floor?
Well, look no further because I'd be happy to pump up the party with energy and dance!
I've been practicing a form of dance called Ecstatic Dance for the last 5 years and I've facilitated dances of over 200 people ensuring everyone understands and practices consent. An example of what this looks like at ecstatic dance:
"We agree to practice non-verbal consent in this space. We respect the solo dancers' right to their own space and process. We continuously listen for the YES (are they making eye contact, nodding, or coming closer?). We respect ANY No (are they bowing out or ignoring you/not making eye contact?). A bow out or hands in prayer at the heart means, "I see you, thank you, I am complete," or "I see you, thank you, I do not want to dance with you". Your Yes's and No's are sacred."
That's just an example of the intention I put into dance. I have the skills to make sure that all your guests are safe and have a great time!
