About

An experienced and passionate composer and sound designer who strives for excellence in every project

Matthew Steed is a musical composer with 7 years of professional experience within the film industry and video game industry, where he has also contributed to sound design and Fx. He has over 20 years experience in the music industry overall.

In 2019 he was awarded 'best score' at Sleepy Hollow Film Festival, NY for his work on indie horror comedy "Driven" staring Richard Speight Jr.

He has had work displayed at some of the most prominent video game conventions in the world including ComicCon, Gamescom, EGX, Tokyo Games Show and Bitsummit. 'Tokyo Dark' in particular, which was released originally through Square Enix and re-released with additional content through Sony in 2019, has been one of Matt's most critically acclaimed titles. The soundtrack was separately released as a stand alone title, due to popular demand.

Matt completed a 6 month internship at MMO Magic in California at the beginning of his career. He has since placed 2 production music albums with Position Music and worked on a wide range of video game, film and tv titles. His style is widely varied and can easily be adapted to suit all genres.

Matthew's goal is to continue to progress into the AAA games and mainstream film industries.
