Hi there!!

I'm Maurissa, but most of my students just call me Missy.

As you probably already know from taking a look at my services, I play a bunch of instruments. Music is my life! I have been playing music ain e childhood, and began performing with bands professionally when I was 15. Though performance was my main source of income, I also began giving some music lessons here and there around the same time. But as my health has begun to decline these last few years (I have lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as bilateral carpal tunnel), I have turned my focus from performing to teaching.

When I'm not teaching music I can usually be found playing with my toddler, in the kitchen cooking up some grub, working in my vegetable garden, or organizing something.

Some other fun facts for you! I collect superhero comics, LOVE tea, and enjoy watching animated films with my daughter... Especially musicals.

Work Terms

Currently I am only teaching Thursdays and Fridays from 12-5

Students must pay for their lessons upfront at the beginning of the month. I only allow make-up lessons if I am given 24 hours notice of absence. No refunds will be given, as you have made a commitment.
