I am a wine professional that has been working in the industry for almost 8 years. Wine and travel have been the two focal points of my life. They both evoke a sense of knowing another world and culture. Having been a resident of Portugal, Turkey, and Germany I've had the opportunity to travel all over Europe. Portugal was my first locale and the one that left the greatest impression. The wine culture of Portugal is so rich and so storied; I was completely taken by the people’s passion for wine. I decided to explore the vast expanse of European wine regions. For the past 3 years, I worked with one of the most important wine retailers in the USA, K&L Wine Merchants in California. Here, I had the opportunity to travel to many other wine regions, especially in Central and South America, and continue my wine education. I am Advanced WSET (Wine Spirits Education Trust) Certified and I have had the opportunity to work harvest for Bodegas Faustino Gonzalez in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. I wrote website content and about wine and spirits and my travels related to wine and spirits on the K&L 'On The Trail' Blog. My hope is to share my love of both wine and travel with people in order to inspire them to do the same. Other than wine, spirits and travel writing, I am also available for the hire of wine cellar tracking, and personal sommelier services.
