Hello all, I'm Megan Shank, a part-time student, soon to be mother, and avid writer.
I posses a passion for writing and illustration and I am hoping to make it my life's work. Though the bulk of my work has been on one-off assignments or short term engagements, I have experience with short story writing, reviews, blogging, and product descriptions, among other things.
Recently I've been working as a proof-listener(if you will) for audio books of various themes and descriptions. This entailed catching small and large errors in quick time and providing notes and feedback on the tone and pacing of the narrator. I've done some recording and narration for similar assignments, and I've been lucky enough to garner some minor experience doing radio voice work and, writing radio ads and public service announcements.
I am limited in my experience in technical writing though I am always prepared to learn for an assignment. I aim to complete all work so that it meets the standards of my client.
My illustrative style is alternative and my primary medium is watercolour and/or ink. I also do some digital work, this however would require more notice. Please contact me to see samples of my work if you are interested in hiring me for illustration based assignments.
I have always had a talent for meeting deadlines and putting out a high quantity of good quality work in a short span of time.
I aim to continue doing so in my assignments during my time on this site.
My rates are negotiable and I am a reasonable person so i am positive we can come to an accord on pricing and rates for any work, be it illustrative, literary, or
audio based.

Work Terms
I aim to work primarily from home and through online channels. I can do late night work and I can attempt to complete timely work for any timezone. I can do work due on a short notice, though depending on the volume and type of work it may be subject to a higher fee. I will not accept any assignment for published work, creative or otherwise, in which I would not be credited. As stated previously, my rates are negotiable but I will not go below $8.50 per hour. My budget rates are not as strictly fixed as these will fluctuate based on the assignment.
