Seeking ways to further expand my writing abilities and focus.
For 3+ years, I worked as a writing tutor/consultant for a few different Writing Centers. These centers focused on college students, primarily, and college coursework all across the academic spectrum. While I was doing this, I was pursuing my own degrees--a BA and MA in history--which required a great deal of research on specific, unique topics of my choosing that eventually culminated into multiple 30+ page theses. During my graduate study, I was nominated (and won) for a graduate student fellowship due to my writing ability. This fellowship was restricted to 14 graduate and post-graduate students across the university, including online students.
I am currently working on developing a blog where I can share some of my thoughts on the writing process. Eventually, I hope it will become something far grander, but for now small steps seem best. I enjoy writing and reading (of course), as well as the occasional video game. I also enjoy taking my two big mutts to the dog park where they run around like psychotic beasts and play with EVERYTHING. It's really rather amusing.
Work Terms
I am available on an on-call basis, depending on what kind of work you are looking to have completed.
Payment is commensurate on the type and complexity of assignments (e.g., $25-50 for an article-length writing or blog post).
