Product/mechanical design form concept to manufacturing documentation.

I am retired and looking for freelance work to supplement my income.
• I have 40+ years’ with but not limited to, experience in mechanical design including 15 years in design of precision automated machinery and 7 years in precision mechanical/optical devices specializing in review of existing drawings and evaluate design for manufacturability.
• I have 22+ years’ experience in the use of Solidworks design and detailing providing accurate bill of material and manufacturing information.
• I have been applying ANSI Y14.5 (ASME Y14.5) geometric tolerancing since 1980.
• I am very detailed oriented.
Awards
• In my work at LIGO (Laser Interferometer gravitational observatory) our group received the Paul F Forman Team Engineering Excellence Award for the work on the seismic isolation system.
Software
• Word and Excel
• Solidworks 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 software. I am also now using Autocad Fusion 360

Work Terms

Flexible hours, willing to work 10-25 hours a week.
