An ACMA - Financial Management Specialist

I am a financial management professional and have worked with various organisations and donors including ADB, DFID/UKAID, AusAID and JSI. I have over 20 years of hands-on experience that encompasses project financial management, operational management, TA procurement and bid management, grants and contract management, internal & operational audit, project appraisal, forecasting, manual and SOPs development, business risk modelling, disaster risk financing, strategic planning, resource utilization, and programme monitoring both nationally and internationally.

I have a proven track record, within the organisations worked, of ensuring all internal control systems are reliable, relevant, adequate and effective, and identifying areas of revenue leaks and sub-optimal work. I suggested and implemented changes in policies, procedures and practices to ensure process adherence and stakeholders’ compliance.

Over the years, along with other responsibilities, I have developed project operation and leadership skills to manage and lead a team successfully to meet its objectives. My experience has imbibed in me, the ability to adapt quickly to different organizational cultures, and work within the limits of policies framed. I am a hard-working person with an ability to take decisive steps at critical moments.

Besides, I am also a freelancer. I undertake assignments related to business development, proposal writing/development, preparation and overhauling of bidding documents, report editing and analysis and many more.
