Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)

With over 23 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Control of petroleum products, complemented by a strong academic background in Computer Science and Information Security, I bring a unique combination of cross-functional expertise in QA/QC, IT, and cybersecurity. My career reflects a consistent commitment to technical excellence, continual learning, and leadership in both laboratory and digital environments.

I began my professional journey in 1999 as a Lab Attendant/IT Instructor at Advance Computers Academy, Karachi. I later pursued higher education in Computer Science, earning a Master of Computer Science (MCS) from Baqai Institute of Information Technology with First Class First Position and a CGPA of 3.9, following a B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from the University of Baluchistan.

From October 2000 to February 2024, I served at the Inspectorate of Army Stores & Clothing (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited), Karachi—first as Research Assistant Grade-II and later as Grade-I. My core responsibilities included Quality Assurance & Control of petroleum products such as Aviation Gasoline, Turbine Fuels, Kerosene, Diesel, and Furnace Oil using ASTM/IP/ISO methods. I conducted technical evaluations for tenders, assessed off-spec products for alternate use, implemented ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management Systems, and participated in Proficiency Testing (PT) and Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) schemes. I also led internal audits, uncertainty measurements, corrective/preventive actions, and customer feedback analysis. Additionally, I conducted trainings, developed job descriptions and training material, and supported recruitment processes.

My qualifications include multiple certifications: CEH, CHFI, ITIL Foundation, ISO/IEC 27002 Information Security Foundation, Certified Post Graduate Quality Professional, and Certified Quality Inspector. I’m also a qualified assessor of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 from Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), and have advanced training in petroleum product testing from PCSIR.

In the realm of IT and cybersecurity, I continuously enhance my knowledge through hands-on training and workshops. I have completed over 25 specialized courses with EC-Council and related platforms covering topics like penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, cyber threat intelligence, forensics, mobile security, and secure network architecture. Tools I work with include Kali Linux, Nessus, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Metasploit, pfSense, John the Ripper, and more.

Technically, I am proficient in operating systems like Windows and Kali Linux, office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), programming languages (C, VB), databases (SQL Server, Oracle), and web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). I also implement cybersecurity policies, perform audits, and ensure ISO/IEC 27001 compliance.

Work Terms

I am available for Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). I have gained relevant knowledge, tools and techniques, and also obtained certifications like CEH, CHFI, ITIL, ISO 27002 to perform all jobs ethically, ensure integrity and confidentiality.
