Work Terms

Basic Terms & Conditions of Video Editing
Scope of Work
The editor will provide video editing services as agreed, including cuts, transitions, basic color correction, audio sync, and simple graphics (unless otherwise specified).
Client Responsibilities
The client must provide all raw footage, audio, logos, references, and instructions on time.
The client confirms they have the legal rights to all provided materials.
Revisions
A limited number of revisions (e.g., 2–3) are included.
Additional revisions may be charged separately.
Delivery Timeline
Delivery timelines start after all materials and payment (if applicable) are received.
Delays caused by late client feedback or missing files are not the editor’s responsibility.
Payment Terms
Payment terms (advance, milestones, or full payment) must be agreed upon before work begins.
Payments are non-refundable once editing has started.
Ownership & Usage Rights
Final edited video rights are transferred to the client after full payment.
The editor may use the work for portfolio or promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed.
File Storage
The editor is not responsible for storing project files after final delivery (e.g., after 7–30 days).
Quality & Style
Editing style is subjective; the editor will follow agreed references but creative interpretation may vary.
Cancellations
If the project is canceled after work has started, the client must pay for work completed up to that point.
Liability
The editor is not liable for copyright claims, losses, or damages arising from client-provided content.
Confidentiality
All client materials will be kept confidential unless permission is given.
Agreement
By approving the project or making payment, the client agrees to these terms and conditions.
