About

Content that Educates

I live in Binghamton NY, a small town an hour south of Syracuse. My family is made up of my wife and four kids--three boys and a girl ages 10-18. My wife's and my spare time is taken up by our children's sporting events. When I get some time to myself, I spend it writing fiction or reading personal development, business, fantasy, and science fiction books. These are activities I've loved since I was in high school.

After high school I enlisted in the US Army as an infantryman (the Army's ground troops who do all the fighting).

I soon found out in war game training that in most combat situations I would leave the battlefield as a corpse. So when my enlistment was up, i got out. I returned home and enrolled in the local community college to earn a criminal justice degree. During the summers I worked at a camp for kids as an outdoor living skills instructor. Taking my lesson from the army that being a cop might not be as fun as it looks, I took a job at a local children's home working with emotionally disturbed kids.

I founded a wilderness adventure program and obtained my bachelor degree in applied social science while working there. I gained marketing experience by recruiting corporations to use the program

After my first child was born, I went to Binghamton University and earned a master degree in Public Administration. After that I worked as a Quality Improvement Coordinator, a deputy director of an aging services agency, the manager of four homeless shelters and a supportive living program, and the executive director of an aging services agency,

But my true passion had always been writing. My writing responsibilities were the only things I enjoyed in my jobs.

So in May of 2014 I decided to become a full-time freelance writer. I've loved every minute of it and enjoy producing content for clients. No regrets.

Work Terms

I am ,extremely easy to work with. I require 24 hours notice for small projects (2,000 words or less requiring very little research) and three days for larger projects. Notification must be given between the hours of 8AM and 9PM EST as an email received at 1:00AM EST would put me 7:00 hours behind the curve, I have these requirements so that I can provide you with the highest quality project possible.

My quotes include two rewrites. Any more and we'll negotiate a price.

My work gives you first North America writes. I retain all other writes and can post it in my portfolio a week after it goes live.

My preferred mode of contact is email. If you need to speak to me by phone or Skype I request we set up the call via email. This is because I become hyperfocused when writing and the disturbance by a call will leave me feeling disoriented and I'll lose my thought process. If it's your article I'm writing, you don't want me ripped away from it.

I'm happy to produce a project in the form you want, so please let me know how you want it.

I look forward to meeting and working with you.
