Original compositions passionately created for the individual

Nick has experience in a number of creative fields, including composition, music production, original writing, graphic design and editing.

Nick is the current Creative Director at the 72 Studio in Shanghai and for 6 years has been the sole English Editor of Neural Magazine, an internationally respected digital culture publication.

A pianist for over twenty years, Nick also plays synthesizers, accordion and melodica. He is interested in virtual instrument creation, experimental sound design and field recording. A highly experienced music tutor, Nick has led English and Chinese language music classes.

He has been an active contributor to the Shanghai music scene over the last five years, playing at original music nights (Mao Livehouse/Yuyintang/JZ Jazz Festival) and collaborating with many domestic acts. Nick is also one of the coordinators of the 'Open Goat' mass improvisation/sound art projects.
