My thirst for learning is my most treasured value which has shaped my life so far. I constantly try to learn new things, or expound on existing knowledge from everyday life and instances. I am not afraid of trying new things and ideas and am not shy of taking risks because I believe that there is always something to learn from your successes as well as from failures and mistakes.
During my first year in college I was presenting my solutions in a Social Innovation Challenge. However, I was gripped with stage fear and nervousness and was unable to speak. This incident made me realize that properly presenting an idea to others is the first step towards realizing it. I spent much time developing my communication skills, overcoming my stage fear and continued participating in various competitions. My labour bore fruits when I was awarded the Certificate of Special Mention for Technical Presentations by the Institute in my final year.
I also organized many events and the experience gained from them has played a key role in moulding my personality. I was amazed by the different ideologies of people and their different approaches to problems. I realized that one can learn much from interacting with people. It also taught me the value of humility and team-work.
I studied in Varanasi, the oldest surviving city in the world. The city as a whole has played a major role in defining me as the person I am today. Living in the city, I realized that there is an art hidden in many things which I earlier thought as ordinary.An exposure to Varanasi’s cultural diversity broadened my perspective towards various cultures that exist in the world. I want to help people
