Sales is an art form. Call it influence, persuasion, or anything you like; master the art and reap the rewards.

5 years experience in sales, sales management and business development.

I started out selling funeral insurance in a cold lead telesales role, transitioned to a field based face to face sales role in the tourism industry and have recently redeveloped myself once more, forming and managing the business development team in a smart technology company.

Through this variety of roles and settings, I have built a thorough understanding of what it means to sell, the understanding of how to win, and to read people and situations to handle objections before they arise.

I take great pleasure in coaching and mentoring, and take great satisfaction to see my mentoreees achieve significant results.

There are 2 keys.
1) People buy from people; your personality and behaviour is crucial, everything else can be taught.
2) Everything is a sale in some way shape or form; if there is a potential positive outcome and a potential negative outcome, we need to influence that outcome, no matter how small.

Before transitioning into sales, I spent 3 years Project Managing in the IT software industry, following my graduation from the University if York with a 2:1 (Hons) Masters degree in Physics with Astrophysics.

Work Terms
