USAID Consultant: Safety pilot
June 2019 – Present -Nkhata Bay, Malawi
• I conducted inspections and maintenance on the Wingcoptor drones.
• I was trained to fly the wing copter drones, as well as fixed-wing, copter and VTOL Drones.
• I created a visual basic program to Process KLM file for QGIS analysis and Altitude comparison presentation.
• I oversaw operations in Nkhata bay, facilitating test fights in Chizumulu. Our team conducted operation successfully with a smaller group and facilitated the delivery of samples and reports between Nkhata bay district hospital and Likoma.
Airworthiness Engineering Intern
Nov 2018 – June 2019 AT DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL AVIATION, LILONGWE, MALAWI.
• I conducted manual inspections of Operators manuals for the applicant of certifications.
• I Created a reference index to assist in application review this document saved inspectors up to 3hr of referencing work, thereby increasing the productivity of Application assessments.
• I assisted in the setting up of a UAV experimentation project, of a class 3 UAV.
• I Designed a Blended wing Body UAV for The Department.
M.A.C.E Summer Intern
JUN 2018 – SEPT 2018-ROVER PROJECT AT UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER, MANCHESTER, UK.
• I Programme a Mars Rover Prototype using Arduino to replace Lego mind storm configurations, Increasing my proficiency in programming logic.
• I Designed the structure, wiring and controls for the Arduino Rover, Increasing my skills in structural analysis, CAD design, and Design thinking.
• I Experimented with wheel configurations that mitigated weight and power problems, Increasing my proficiency in feasibility analysis and testing methods.
• I wrote up documentation to introduce and explain the project, the achievements made, and problems found to Future intern groups, increasing my proficiency in technical report writing.
