About

Expert Network Engineer & Cybersecurity Specialist "Securing the Architecture of Your Ambition: I am a certified Network and Security professional.

In the quiet, hum-filled server room of a tech hub in Kaduna, the blue LEDs of a Cisco catalyst switch often serve as the only witnesses to the true nature of network engineering. For some, these blinking lights are mere status indicators. For me, they represent the heartbeat of modern connectivity, a pulse I have dedicated my career to protecting and optimizing.

My journey into the world of bits and bytes did not start with a silver spoon, but with a curiosity that could not be silenced. I remember my first major "baptism by fire" early in my career. I was tasked with managing a complex route redistribution between OSPF and EIGRP for a client whose entire operations had ground to a halt. The pressure was palpable, as every minute of downtime translated to lost revenue and mounting frustration. While others saw a chaotic mess of routing loops and sub-optimal paths, I saw a puzzle waiting to be solved. I stayed late into the night, tracing packets and refining configurations until the topology stabilized. That moment taught me my first core value: Resilience. In the world of networking, things will break, but a true professional is defined by their ability to stay calm under pressure and engineer a way forward.

As I transitioned into more senior roles, specifically as a Network Administrator and a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor, my technical focus expanded into the critical realm of cybersecurity. I realized that building a fast network was useless if it was not a secure one. This led me to dive deep into SIEM deployments with Wazuh and firewall orchestrations using Fortinet and Palo Alto. I recall a specific instance where I was setting up a captive portal integrated with an AD/LDAP server for a regional office. Many thought the default settings were "good enough," but I spent hours hardening the access control models (DAC and MAC).

This reflects my second core value: Integrity. To me, security is not just a checkbox on a compliance form; it is a promise made to the people who trust that their data is safe. I often tell my students that a network engineer is like a digital guardian. If you cut corners on a Group Policy Object or overlook a minor hardware bottleneck in a VMware appliance, you are not just being "efficient," you are leaving a door unlocked.

Personal anecdotes from my time as an instructor also shaped my philosophy of Continuous Growth. I remember a student who struggled to understand the concept of BGP attributes. Instead of just quoting the manual, I related it to the local transport routes we use every day in Nigeria, finding the most efficient path through a crowded city. Seeing the "aha!" moment in their eyes reminded me that technical mastery is only half the battle; the ability to communicate and mentor is what truly builds a community.

Today, my work is a blend of high-level strategy and hands-on grit. Whether I am optimizing RAM allocation on a virtual appliance to prevent a system crash or drafting a security fra

Work Terms

usiness Terms & Operations

Hours of Operation: I am available for consultation and project work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (WAT). For critical network emergencies or urgent security incidents, I offer extended availability outside these hours by prior arrangement to ensure your infrastructure remains operational.

Payment Terms: I prefer fixed-price contracts for defined project scopes or hourly rates for ongoing technical support. Payments are accepted via Guru’s Secure Pay system. For large-scale infrastructure deployments, I utilize a milestone-based structure: an initial deposit to commence work, followed by percentage payments upon the successful completion of verified project phases.

Preferred Communication Style: I value clear, documented communication. I prefer using the Guru Message Center for all project-related discussions to maintain a reliable audit trail. I am also available for scheduled video consultations to discuss complex technical architectures or provide progress demonstrations. My style is professional, transparent, and focused on technical accuracy.
