About

Polymath sick of Ghost Writing

Long time student of a mass variety of subjects. Originally trained in Creative writing, film, theatre; novels. Wrote a novel nobody read two decades ago and got the call to ghost write stuff. Eventually I fell into my true calling as a Philosopher and scientist, did a brief spell for the UK government in DEFRA and eventually completed a degree in Psychology (thinking I could help people) and ultimately ended right the way back to Ghost writing and Philosophy.
Primarily I am an autodidact with strong, critical, perspectives on so called "qualifications" and "credentials". Having won numerous debates against PhD's in many fields I have retreated away from the academic circuits to enjoy a LONG sabbatical while researching and writing my own books on a wide variety of topics, most notably politics and psychology.
Between all of this I find time to tend to the land I own (IF anyone ever really "owns" anything). I spend time with my family, especially my little boy :) And I categorise myself as a Guerrilla Ontologist with an unrelenting desire to pursue the truth.
I have since graduating university dedicated most of my time to intellectual growth, reading (as far as possible) more than I write. I am, however, a firm believer in keeping up with cultural studies both counter and popular: so I still stay in touch with modern media studies. On the side, a little music (string instruments and a little harmonica) still keep me company on those lonely nights, when family & friends are asleep, of insomnia and curiosity luring me.
My personal focus is on Philosophy. My skill range is wide though, fiction, non fiction; separating religion from reason has thereby always seemed impossible to me. And with schools never adhering to my own philosophy of "every day is a school day"; coupled with the reality of argumentum ad verecundiam.... I have tried to steer away from institutions that I see as no different to churches. I am happiest in the fruitful middle grounds of balanced arguments and unending discussions amongst academics and philosophers. My favourite subject, in case you haven't guessed it, is philosophy precisely because it begins with the history of human thought played out through conversations lasting thousands of years (via what Korzybski has termed "time-binding", and ends in a bold admission that "I know nothing". My own addendum 'save what other people profess they know through various observations'.

Work Terms

I prefer communication in written words and will tolerate video conferences if the need arrives. For the right project I will work around the clock ... However, I have a small child I am educating at present so I will need a small amount of flexibility on this subject of communication until he is old enough to fend for himself. Payment I will genuinely accept on a sliding scale. Some of my wealthier clients pay quite handsomely, whereas some of my poorer clients might enjoy a little pro bono work from time to time. I will accept any form of payment as necessity dictates. If I have a preference it would be in reciprocal tariffs (i.e. I give you something I have, you give me something you have) and I am always open to a good haggle :) Just be aware I play hardball and have never found a solicitor better than me at arguing: ultimately it being my son you are competing against.
