About

I have been working as both a professional writer and editor for over five years now. My writing "career" initially started when I realized that I wasn't happy pursuing a degree in criminal justice. I had always wanted to be a writer, so I decided to focus all my energies on that. In my naivety I thought I could just start writing screenplays and submitting those to different contests. Needless to say, I eventually realized just how unrealistic that was. I instead started looking into taking on different freelance jobs. Since then, I have worked with a number of different companies, with the majority of my work being centered around 500-1500 word SEO articles.

During that time though, I have also taken on several editing jobs. At first these were also smaller projects such as SEO articles and blog posts, but I eventually moved on to larger projects. In my time I have edited several screenplays as well as both fiction and nonfiction novels. I've also collaborated with other authors as a ghost writer on a few different projects.

I'm currently working on editing my own novel which I converted (and greatly improved upon) from one of my failed screenplays. I never let my own personal work get in the way of any project I take on though.

Work Terms

Since I work primarily as a Freelancer I'm most comfortable setting a schedule that works around the client's needs. Typically, I prefer to charge a fixed price based upon the project. I don't usually like to charge per word or based on an hourly rate as I've found that can more often than not be unfair towards the client.

As an editor, I strive to do more than just correct spelling/grammatical errors. I like to keep the voice of the writer in mind, suggesting changes that won't change with their overall writing style, or impact the rest of their writing. I also like to provide analysis as well as just fixing any errors. I also guarantee that the price I set is for the project as a whole, so the writer doesn't have to worry about being charged for additional drafts or the like.
