I have written for over 4 years, and through honing my craft, I have been told that such a style as mind would never go far.

It is my dream to prove such naysayers wrong. I possess a classical style, one that is viewed by many to be "outdated" or "lost in history". Some have said that I deliberately write this way, but that is not true. I write because I write what I am feeling, and should my emotions be as elevated as however the average Romantic poet felt during the 19th century, then so be it.

An example of such a "classical style" is as follows:

"Trauma sheds light on her escape, from sunrays with their golden textures. They leak from the overcast that is above, to the path that is before her."

This small excerpt is taken from a WIP novel titled: The Devorah of Reims.

The Devorah of Reims is a historical romance taking place during the height of antisemitism in France at the turn of the 20th century. It was during a time when problems for the sake of them being problems were rooted out and destroyed, and forgiveness and mercy was also "a thing lost in history".
