GenOps LLC provides fractional and interim Controller services, along with financial reporting and analytics support, for small and mid-sized businesses that need experienced financial oversight without the overhead of a full-time hire.

The firm is led by Qian Xu, who brings hands-on Controller-level experience managing finances across a multi-entity company structure — including monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Qian is also QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certified and brings SQL, Power BI, and Tableau skills to the table as a complementary offering, building the reporting and dashboards that give business owners real visibility into their numbers.

GenOps expanded into financial consulting services in 2026 to bring that same level of financial discipline to other growing businesses. We work project-based, with typical engagements running 1–6 months, and we're offering a discounted rate on first engagements to build a track record on this platform.

Work Terms

Available for remote engagements, generally responsive within 24 hours on business days. Preferred communication via Guru messaging, or video call for kickoffs and check-ins.

Project-based pricing preferred over hourly. For larger engagements, milestone-based payments through Guru's SafePay work well. Flexible on structure — happy to discuss what fits your project best.
