About

I find that my love for design stems from a place of wanting to empathise and sympathise with people. Emotion fuels my ideas and my skills bring them to life.

I am a 22 year old Graphic Design graduate based in the outskirts of South West London. I have a keen eye for typography and editorial design, as well as a passion for fine line illustration. I've always been drawn to design that is clean and minimal and I think this reflects in my style.

My most recent experience of designing in a workplace environment was during the 2017 Snap General Election just gone. I was given the wonderful opportunity of designing campaign leaflets for Ruth Cadbury, the Labour candidate for Brentford & Isleworth. Her team wanted me to create a design that strayed away from the typical Labour branding, and highlighted Ruth’s personality and policies instead. The experience taught me about how fast paced the nature of the job is, meaning I had to keep up a level of efficiency throughout. As you can imagine, an MP has to be very careful with what they put out to the public, so the design required constant criticism and had a rapid change over rate in terms of content. Ruth and her team were thoroughly impressed with how well I handled an intense and stressful environment, as well as how fresh and engaging my designs looked.

When I'm not designing, I enjoy socialising with my friends - particularly if there is a pub involved! Going out and having fun is essential for me when it comes to relaxing, nothing beats a good dance after a long week.

I enjoy reading, TV and film. My favourite genres are horror and thriller. Some particular favourites are Dexter, Stephen King's Pet Cemetery and Gone Girl. However it's not all dark and spooky! I love comedy and have a secret love for reality tv - it's a guilty pleasure!

I find that my love for design stems from a place of wanting to empathise and sympathise with people. I enjoy the emotional response that can be created from design when it is received by the audience, so I always try to make my designs effective enough to do this.
