After 8 years in a full-time IT services job, primarily focused on manual and automation testing, I found myself craving flexibility and a better work-life balance. The rigid hours, back-to-back meetings, and limited personal time started to wear me down. That’s when I decided to explore freelancing.

In the beginning, it was uncertain — I had no idea if anyone would hire me without a company logo behind my name. But after days of silence, I landed my first small freelance project: a 3-day manual testing task for a client overseas. I approached it with the same discipline and quality focus I had in my corporate role, and the client was thrilled. I got a 5-star rating — but more importantly, I got my evenings back.

Since then, freelancing has given me the freedom to choose projects that align with my skills, work at my own pace, and spend more quality time with my family. It's been a refreshing shift from rigid schedules to meaningful, self-directed work
