I am a 1981 alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi, India (IIT-BHU), from which institute I earned a Bachelor's Degree(B.Tech) in Chemical Engg with high grades. After graduating, I worked in the Information & Communications Technology(ICT) industry as a full-time employee till 2003 (about 22 years) and thereafter, as a Senior, independent IT consultant.I have worked in several IT roles during my full-time career, ranging from Programmer/Analyst, Systems Designer, IS Planner, Project/Account Manager, QC (Quality coordinator) etc. I have worked with leading IT organizations in India and overseas during my career - Tata Motors Ltd., Pune (1981-1983), L&T, Chennai (1984-1986), Indchem Electronics, Chennai (1986-1988), IOL Ltd. (1989-1990), Excellent Software Technologies P. Ltd, Chennai (1990-1993), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Chennai (1993-1998), WiseSoft Inc., MN, USA & Citicorp, Chennai (1999-2000), eFunds International India P. Ltd, Chennai (2000-2001). My work has also taken me overseas to various locations in the USA,UK,Australia&Thailand. By virtue of my foreign postings, I have become conversant with lifestyles,cultures and working hours etc. in these countries.
I am an active member of the IEEE, USA (the Institute of Electrical&Electronics Engineers, USA, http://www.ieee.org) through whom, I keep abreast with the latest developments in IT,software,standards and related fields
