The clients I work best with know what they need and have the material to work from. If the brief is clear, the turnaround is predictable. If something needs more work than a copyedit can fix, I'll say so before the invoice does.
Work Terms
Projects are quoted per word before any work begins. A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot; the remaining 50% is due on delivery. For projects under $20, full payment is required upfront. Work starts when the deposit clears, not when the project is agreed.
Turnaround is calculated from when the deposit clears, at a rate of up to 5,000 words per 3 business days. Rush delivery (under 24 hours) carries a 50% surcharge.
Revision rounds are included as follows: one round for proofreading and copyediting, two rounds for ghostwriting. Revisions cover corrections within the original scope. Changes to the brief after delivery, or structural changes after an outline has been approved, are billed separately at the standard per-word rate. Any word count beyond the original quote is billed at the same rate.
If the brief changes materially after work has started, the project is requoted from that point.
All project briefs must be provided in writing. Verbal agreements are not binding. Client work is kept strictly confidential and is not discussed or shared publicly. Ghostwriting clients can expect this confirmed in writing before the project begins.
Response times are within standard business hours. Same-day responses are not guaranteed.
