Work Terms
I am available during business hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday. While I am often flexible for quick check-ins or urgent replies outside these hours including on Saturdays, all core work is delivered within this window. I will communicate any necessary adjustments to this schedule (e.g., public holidays, planned vacation) well in advance. My typical response time during hours of operation is under two hours.
Payment Terms: My preferred method of engagement is through the Guru.com platform, using SafePay to ensure security and transparency for both parties.
Project Hours: For hourly engagements, I use the Guru work diary to track time accurately. Payments are expected weekly or bi-weekly, upon approval of hours worked.
Fixed-Price Projects: For defined projects (like a large data migration), payment is typically structured with a 50% deposit required upfront via SafePay to begin work, and the remaining 50% upon final delivery and client approval. For larger projects, milestones may be established with agreed-upon payments tied to the completion of each.
Rate Revisions: My rates are reviewed annually. Clients will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any rate changes.
Preferred Communication: My default communication for routine updates, file transfers, and general discussion is the Guru Messaging System. This keeps a clear, documented record of all project-related communication.
Live Check-ins: For necessary discussions and project kickoffs, I am happy to schedule a meeting via the Guru platform or any other medium that does not violate Guru's communication policy.
File Sharing: All files and data will be shared securely via Google Drive or a client's preferred secure cloud service e.g., Dropbox or OneDrive. I will never share sensitive data via an unapproved platform.
