Since I was a child, I've always had a passion for reading. Reading is a huge and important part of my life. There's nothing like a good book to help me relax and take my mind off of things for a while.

I also have always had a natural talent for spelling and grammar. I have a great eye for spotting errors. I'm really good at polishing writing projects. I know when and where to add or remove text to make a written work flow more smoothly.

About a year ago it occurred to me that I could combine my love of reading with my English language talents and make a career out of it. I've been doing a lot of studying up on the proofreading business. I've taken and passed the online course Proofreading and Copyediting 101 from Universal Class. I'm currently working for Distributed Proofreaders. They're a non-profit group, so I don't get paid. But I enjoy the work and it's good experience.

Work Terms

My hours of operation are primarily in the morning. I prefer to communicate through email, but I'm open to all forms of communication.
