I was formally educated at one of the top universities in South Africa. I graduated with distinctions as a Mechatronic Engineer and furthered my studies by completing a post-graduate degree in Renewable Energy Systems, followed by a master’s degree, with distinctions, in Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, during my time as an academic, I consulted with various companies on projects relating to automation, renewable energy ventures, and software-related suites.

I have over 4 years of extensive industry experience in multiple facets of engineering, quality control, business, research, documentation writing, and communication. I have worked for numerous long-standing, high-end companies, as well as with start-ups developing exciting projects, which include: robotic arms, automated waste systems, 3-D scanners for the manufacturing of prosthetic limbs, design of locking mechanisms for financial institutions, and the design of an automated robotic sea crawler, to name a few.

Based on my experience, I have acquired the skills necessary to design complex systems using the SolidWorks design and simulation package. Moreover, other technical skills include programming in C and C#, as well as Matlab programming. I am highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Project, and Visio. In addition, I have a strong background in technical writing and my use of the English language (vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation) is exceptional due to many years of report/thesis/document writing.
