I have over 25 years' experience of working as a copyeditor, proofreader and indexer, both freelance and in-house, for publishers and individual authors. I have managed projects from manuscript submission through to typesetting and printing, and have a good knowledge of all aspects of the publishing process.
A native English speaker, I also speak good French and reasonable German, and have specialised in working with authors whose first language is not English.
I have a background in training and consultancy, as well as academic qualifications up to a PhD in history, so am able to work on a wide range of subjects, for both trade and academic audiences.

Work Terms

Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (GMT +1). Communication by email preferred. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal, on large jobs 50% up front, 50% on completion.
