I find a practical application for engineering principles to result in improved designs and solve complex problems.
I was trained as a mechanical engineer, and most of my career has been working on troubleshooting manufacturing problems on lathes, milling machines, grinders, water-jet cutters, and pick and place machines. In the machine tool world, engineers are exposed to the full range of engineering disciplines: electrical, mechanical, software, and chemical. I enjoy machine design, system integration, troubleshooting, mathematical analysis, FEA and simulation- pretty much any mechanical engineering job.
