Sanghita Chakraborty is a Hindustani classical violinist representing the Maihar Gharana. Her musical journey began with classical vocal training under the guidance of her father, Shri Debasish Chakraborty. After several years of vocal training, she transitioned into the realm of instrumental music in 2011. She received her initial violin training from Pandit Subal Biswas, a disciple of the legendary Padma Bhushan Pandit V.G. Jog, and continued her tutelage under him for nearly 11 years. Currently, she is receiving advanced training from Shri Indradeep Ghosh, a disciple of Prof. Sisir Kana Dhar Choudhury.

In 2014, she was awarded the National Scholarship by CCRT. She also performed in the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhawan in the Republic Day celebration, 2026. Sanghita is a graded artist of All India Radio. She continues to perform actively and collaborates on various classical music initiatives across India and abroad.
