Mechanical design & CAD specialist for manufacturing‑ready solutions

I am a mechanical engineer and product design specialist with 12+ years of industry experience in machinery, fabrication and manufacturing projects. I help clients turn ideas, sketches and legacy drawings into clear, buildable 3D models and engineering documentation.

My core skills include 3D part and assembly modelling, fabrication and sheet‑metal design, welding structures, jigs and fixtures, and detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances and BOM. I am comfortable handling small components as well as large assemblies and resolving issues during CAD conversions and design updates.

I work with professional CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD to deliver accurate models, assemblies and drawings that are ready for production. I also support design for manufacturing (DFM), basic strength and fit checks, and preparation of clear inputs for fabrication vendors.

Over my career I have worked as a Product Design / Lead Mechanical Engineer and Technical Project Manager, coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal teams to deliver projects on time. I understand real shop‑floor constraints, welding practices and fabrication challenges, and I design with these practical points in mind.

Work Terms

Hours of operation:
I am usually available 6 days a week (Indian Standard Time) and can adjust timings for important meetings with international clients.

Communication:
Preferred communication through Guru messages and email. For ongoing projects, I am open to periodic online meetings (Google Meet, Zoom or Teams) for design reviews and clarifications.

Project process:
I start by reviewing all available inputs (sketches, old drawings, models, specifications) and clarifying the scope, deliverables and timeline. After that, I share a clear plan and milestones. I provide intermediate updates with screenshots or PDFs so you can review progress and request changes early.

Deliverables:
Depending on the project, I can deliver 3D CAD files (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, STEP, IGES), 2D manufacturing drawings (DWG, DXF, PDF) and BOM or part lists as required.

Payment terms:
I prefer working through Guru’s SafePay system for security for both sides. For small tasks I can work on a fixed price. For larger or ongoing projects we can set milestones and release payments as each milestone is completed and approved.

Revisions and support:
I offer reasonable revisions within the agreed scope to ensure you are satisfied. After delivery, I can provide limited support for minor adjustments and clarifications related to the completed work.
