Work Terms

As regards my hours of operation, since I stay in India and time zone difference is very important and to be taken care of approximately, I will be available to my Clients for discussion depending upon their convenience at a shortest notice followed by WhatsApp and emails communications. So far as payment terms are concerned, I understand that getting paid timely is one of the most prominent problems confronted by the Freelancers.. In India, I face this problem . However, my realization rate is around 75% after constant follow up and waiting for a reasonable period. In any case, various options are available and in vogue and my suggestions are as follows:
A. To draw a simple contract ( hourly or milestone based), agree on the terms and compensation to be signed by both the parties. Thereafter, it would be appropriate if the Client keep the money in escrow or make the payment by arranging credit in the designated account of Freelancer as per the contract.
B. The Clients can do a direct wire transfer to my bank account if Client is comfortable.
C. Depending upon Clients profile, I will request my Client to release payment on time in a best optimism manner.
D. I would also be guided by your expertise and grateful for your guidance.

As regards hourly rate, it depends upon the nature of Job or project, it's duration, complexities involved, geographical location and other related factors. I would prefer to negotiate with the Clients within the bid price quoted by them.In a normal parlance, rate per hour in $ terms, the following may be considered which may be negotiated: -
a.Paralegal : 50 to 70 $
b.Drafting of documents and other drafting: 75 to 90 $
c. Misc . legal work: Negotiable between Free lancer and the Client
