Work Terms

General terms
Hourly rate: $7 per hour for tasks that are ongoing or where the scope is not clearly defined at the start.
Minimum project rate: $25 for any project, regardless of its duration. This ensures compensation for smaller, quick tasks.
Payment terms: Payments will be processed through Guru's secure SafePay system. Payment for fixed-price work will be held in SafePay and released upon project approval. For hourly projects, weekly invoices will be submitted through Guru's Time Tracker, with payment released after approval.
Communication: All project communication, file sharing, and feedback should be conducted within the Guru WorkRoom. Email or other platforms will only be used if necessary, and major project decisions will be confirmed in the WorkRoom.
Confidentiality: All client information, data, and project details are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
Revisions: Each project includes a set number of revisions (e.g., one or two rounds). Additional revisions beyond the agreed-upon amount will be billed at the standard hourly rate.
Project ownership: Upon receipt of final payment, the client retains all rights to the final deliverables.
Project scope: The project scope will be clearly defined before work begins. Any changes requested after the project starts may incur additional costs and affect the timeline. These changes will be documented and agreed upon by both parties through a formal change order.
Fixed-price projects
Milestone-based payment: Projects over $25 will be structured with milestones. Payment for each milestone will be made upon completion and client approval.
Initial deposit: A deposit may be required before work begins, which is also held securely in SafePay.
Project scope: A detailed project scope with deliverables and deadlines for each milestone is required upfront.
Hourly projects
Time tracking: For hourly work, the Guru Time Tracker will be used to log and submit all billable hours.
Weekly invoices: Invoices for hourly work
