Academic with expertise in curriculum development and design & academic quality assurance and enhancement

I currently work as Academic Integration Lead at South East Technological University, operating at institutional level across academic quality assurance, programme development, and governance.

My role focuses on leading and supporting institution-wide quality assurance and enhancement initiatives, aligned with national and European regulatory frameworks (QQI and ESG), while also contributing to continuous improvement across the academic portfolio.

I play a central role in the delivery of the University’s Academic Portfolio Project, supporting programme alignment, consolidation, and development across faculties in a complex, multi-campus environment.

A key aspect of my work involves providing evidence-based analysis and strategic advice to senior academic leadership, informing decision-making on programme development, institutional planning, and academic governance.

I work closely with academic and professional staff across the University to support:

programme design and curriculum alignment
quality assurance processes and review
cross-faculty collaboration and organisational change

I also design and deliver workshops and consultations to support academic staff in programme development, quality assurance, and curriculum renewal.

My particular area of interest is programme-level coherence, including the alignment of learning outcomes, assessment, and delivery, and the development of clear, defensible programme structures within QQI/NFQ contexts.
