I am Selin Ballı, and my university education has been one of the most defining journeys in my life. I completed my undergraduate studies in Sociology at Akdeniz University, where I had the opportunity to explore social structures, human relationships, and cultural transformations in depth. At the same time, I earned an associate degree in Social Services from Anadolu University, which allowed me to complement my theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
My academic journey continued with a master’s program in Sociology at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. While working on my thesis titled “Weddings in Muğla in the Context of Social Change,” I conducted field research and closely examined how cultural shifts affect individuals and communities. I am also currently completing a bachelor's degree in Social Services at Istanbul University. This dual academic path has helped me develop a multi-dimensional perspective, critical thinking skills, and the ability to address various social issues with sensitivity and depth.
Throughout my studies, I have remained a curious, open-minded, and proactive individual. I see education not just as a means to earn a degree, but as a transformative process that has shaped my way of thinking, communicating, and engaging with the world. Moving forward, I aim to apply this academic foundation in both fieldwork and research, creating meaningful impact in people’s lives and contributing to the broader understanding of social dynamics.
