I am an Advocate with over 18 years of experience and a practising intellectual property litigator, handling the full spectrum of IP work before the Indian Trade Marks Registry, the intellectual property offices and the courts.
My practice covers freedom to operate searches, partent drafting, patent prosecution & litigation; trademark search, filing, prosecution, examination report replies, oppositions, rectifications and renewals; design registration, prosecution & litigation; copyright registration including prosecution and related litigation; Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights filings, prosecution, registration and litigation; and Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design registration including prosecution and related litigation.
On the contentious side, I handle infringement and passing off actions, oppositions, appeals, cease and desist notices and legal notices.
Foreign applicants must act through Indian counsel to secure and enforce their rights in India.
As an Advocate, I am that local representative. You instruct, I handle the Registry, the deadlines and the procedure, and I report back in your preferred format. Work Terms
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, India Standard Time (GMT plus 5:30). I respond to messages within one business day and accommodate calls across US, UK and European time zones by appointment.Evening slots available for international clients by prior appointment
Payment terms: Fixed professional fees quoted per matter before work begins. Official Registry and statutory fees are billed at actuals. For new engagements I work on advance against the agreed fee, with the balance on completion. Recurring instructing firms may arrange monthly billing.
Communication: Email for instructions and reporting, with WhatsApp or video call for discussions where helpful. I provide clear status updates at each stage and prompt deadline reminders.
