Every moment in a game, minute in a movie or moment in life can be something that stays with you for a very long time as the music helps craft a new, more subjective and personal narrative for the images, transforming those seemingly random events into stories that you, and maybe only you, will remember. Stories that would make you cry, while the rest of the audience would laugh and vice versa.

Music is loud, is quiet, melodic, beautiful, ugly, brutal and gentle – and exists at the same time above and below the surface of the images it comes with, creating grand moments by itself or helping the images in doing so.
Knowing that our audiences minds, ears and understanding of music are, unwillingly, rather tied to existing standards and the growing simplicity of our lives, filling time with something personal and human, rather than generic placeholders, is a tough but worth bearing challange and the most valuable trade a musician could master.

Being aware of what your audience expects from your music and then working based on those expectations, meeting them or even purposefully underachieving – just to show them a different path – is a powerful tool, that helps any situation, may it be real or fictional, to create timelessness.
