Media Player: Held a principle role in the design and implementation of the Digital Media Manager, a portable music device and content management application. The application provides plug-in support of all major music codecs in play, recording and CD creation functions. Digital Media Manager has a layered architecture; the presentation layer hosts an instance of the IE browser control and uses DHTML, JavaScript and ActiveX controls for the user interface. Multithreaded COM component DLLs and local servers written in C++ using the ATL implement the services layer needed by the application. A Media Library COM module written using the ATL provides the data access layer using an ADO interface to the underlying MS Access database. News Ticker: The main application is an Internet news viewer that resides on the Windows desktop as a task bar. It enables continuously updated access to latest news .The news viewer is multithreaded, written in C++ and obtains news information from a syn
