My name is Keith Soltman and I am a 13 year teacher in public and private schools in the U.S. and abroad. I started my career working in China at a community college that primarily tailored to engineers from Sinopec. After coming back stateside, I got my post-secondary certification in English Language Arts Education and went into junior high and high school classrooms in the Yakima area of Washington state. My wife and I moved to the Marshall Islands, taught there for a year and a half, then returned home. Since, I have continued teaching English, reading, and writing in Washington State and completed a Masters of Arts degree in Mathematics.
What I bring to the proverbial table:
1. I'm a strong teacher with quite a few years of experience in public and private education. My records speak for themselves when it comes to what and how I teach. Over the course of my teaching experience, I have shown significant successes in mandated state testing for my students with the majority passing regardless of what skills they had at the beginning of the term.
2. As a teacher, my main focus is on instruction of writing - the values of which are shown in my ability to express ideas in language that is both accessible by a wide audience as well as being an engaging way to share information.
3. I bring intentionality to any project. I have always been the type that considers that a project that has my name on it should be done well and as free of errors as humanly possible.
