Fractional Controller, Accounting, and Financial Operations Services for Small and Mid-Sized Businesses
Southwestern Financials LLC is a Texas-based accounting and financial operations firm providing bookkeeping, compliance, and fractional controller services to small and mid-sized businesses. The firm was created to support companies that need experienced financial leadership, structured reporting, and operational clarity without the cost of a full-time controller.
The firm’s foundation is rooted in practical experience and persistence. After earning a finance degree in 2009, I faced the common challenge of being told I lacked experience to enter the accounting field. Rather than remaining stuck, I began building that experience directly by helping friends and family organize their books and financial records. Those early projects developed real-world skills that led to formal accounting roles supporting increasingly complex operations and, ultimately, controller-level responsibilities.
Southwestern Financials represents the full arc of that journey. It combines hands-on bookkeeping knowledge with senior-level financial oversight, system design, and operational discipline. Today, the firm works directly with business owners and executive teams to improve financial accuracy, strengthen internal processes, and provide clear, reliable insight that supports confident decision-making.
Services include monthly bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, tax and compliance support, audit readiness, budgeting and forecasting, and financial systems design. Engagements are structured, communicative, and focused on long-term stability rather than short-term fixes.

Work Terms
Engagements are offered on an hourly, project-based, or ongoing monthly basis depending on client needs and scope. Work is performed remotely, with clearly defined deliverables, timelines, and communication expectations established at the start of each engagement.
Ongoing clients typically receive monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and periodic review meetings. Project-based work may include cleanups, system implementations, reporting builds, compliance support, or process optimization.
Engagements emphasize accuracy, documentation, and repeatable processes. Clients can expect timely communication, secure handling of financial data, and structured workflows designed to support long-term financial stability rather than short-term fixes. Long-term engagements and recurring monthly services are preferred.
