am an award-winning, entrepreneurial marketing and technology professional known for getting results. My specialties include software, franchising, education and healthcare - all grassroots industries that value authentic communication. I am passionate about these industries because they make a positive difference by enabling better performance for those that they serve.
During the course of my career I have worked with companies like Microsoft, 3M, Shred-it and the Intercontinental Hotel. While at Shred-it, I was recognized by Google as operating a best practice in managing a franchise PPC campaign and was recognized by the Industry Association, NAID, as the Best Website in its class. My website at Tutor Doctor won an “Outstanding Achievement in Internet Advertising” award by the Web Marketing Association in 2016.
I have taken part in several speaking engagements across North America about entrepreneurship, franchising, marketing and technology and has volunteered for numerous organizations helping children, artists and educational institutions; A highlight was when I was asked to speak for the International Franchise Association in Denver, CO in 2016. I am a volunteer with Futurpreneur as a mentor, and do a number of community initiatives. I was the past Communications Chair of the Queen’s Alumni Association of Toronto. I hold an MBA from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University. I
