In the Accounting position
I was responsible for: Preparation of debtors reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Analyzing revenue and expense reports and creating forecasts for financial period. Preparation of financial statements for both external and internal audit. Preparation and reconciliation of monthly disbursements and timesheets reports. Reviewed petty cash and reimbursement report on a weekly basis. Preparation of bank reconciliations on monthly basis (in local and foreign currencies). Ensuring proper transactions posting (payments, disbursements and revenue) in the system. Liaising and coordination of accounting processes with the regional offices. Liaising with banks on financial matters e.g. guarantees transfers and other transactions. Preparation and maintenance of fixed assets schedule & register. Preparation of monthly statutory returns such as VAT returns and withholding tax returns. Preparation and reconciliation of Payroll journals to ensure accuracy and timely submission of returns.
